Netflix has officially locked in the premiere date for Season 2 of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, bringing the fan-favorite animated crew back to screens this fall.
What to Expect in Season 2
Dropping on Sept. 17, the new season picks up right after the explosive Season 1 finale. Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Nikki are trying to return to standard adolescent routines—focusing on arcade gaming, local club missions, and upcoming Valentine’s Day events.
However, peace is quickly interrupted by a bizarre town-wide phenomenon: strange, iridescent flowers sprouting up everywhere.
While the blooms look harmless, showrunner Eric Robles warns they carry a sinister secret. Characters Nikki and Max inadvertently complicate matters by scheming to sell the flowers across town, spreading the paranormal threat even further.
New Terrors and Unexplored Terrain
Alongside the deceptive flora, the Hawkins crew faces fresh paranormal hurdles. "Ghostly" apparitions and a swarm of hate sprites begin wreaking havoc across town just as Valentine's Day approaches. The HIC must piece together these clues before another gateway to the Upside Down tears open.
While viewers will revisit classic hangouts like Hawkins Middle School and the Palace Arcade, the narrative also expands into uncharted locations. Robles teased that the upcoming episodes will venture into a previously unexplored mine in Hawkins, uncovering deeper town secrets.
The Return of the Cast
The core voice acting ensemble returns for the sophomore season. The returning lineup includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Benjamin Plessala as Will, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, and Odessa A’zion as Nikki, alongside an expanding supporting cast.
