On Wednesday, August 12, the 56-year-old musician revealed that his tour bus crashed into a grassy ditch en route to a highly anticipated show in Germany. The impact was severe enough that first responders had to physically pull Ford through the vehicle's shattered windshield.
While the accident miraculously resulted in zero fatalities, the aftermath is far from minor. Ford walked away with a broken shoulder, and his crew members are reportedly "banged up" as they navigate the physical and mental fallout of the wreck.

At the time, doctors gave him a microscopic 0.1% chance of survival. Yet, after 20 hours of intense surgery and a grueling recovery process, he defied the medical community and made his way back to the stage in 2025.
However, returning to the touring lifestyle wasn't just a physical hurdle—it was a psychological battleground. Ford openly spoke about the extreme anxiety and PTSD he faced simply stepping back onto his tour bus.
"The first time I went to get back on the bus I started to step on it and I was like, 'Wait, oh, last time I was on here y'all carried me off here dead,'" Ford previously revealed on the Try That In A Small Town podcast. "I don't even sit where I used to sit in my bus anymore because that's where I was sitting when it happened."
