Barcola’s impending arrival has cast immediate doubt over the future of Cody Gakpo. The 27-year-old Netherlands international has already attracted serious interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
When asked about Gakpo's future, Iraola admitted he "cannot guarantee anything," despite expressing a strong desire to keep him.
"He has been very good since he came back from the World Cup," Iraola said. "I hope we can keep him at that level because I think he has been very influential in our games."
