But this isn't just another baseless rumor. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of developer Rockstar Games, has gone on the offensive—and their aggressive legal pushback essentially confirms that these leaks are the real deal.
Rockstar’s Legal Crackdown
Take-Two Interactive has filed federal subpoenas targeting major tech platforms, including Microsoft, Discord, Google, and X (formerly Twitter). The company is demanding these platforms help unmask the identity of Cyberleek and immediately strip down the copyrighted footage.
Because these legal filings specifically cite "stolen content," industry experts agree that Take-Two has inadvertently verified the legitimacy of the leaked build.
What Was Actually Leaked?
While Cyberleek has avoided major plot spoilers so far, the leaked clips offer a raw look at the game's mechanics, environment, and features. Some of the most notable details include:
- Map & Locations: Cropped images of the in-game world map showcasing locations like Dalton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, and Catalan Key, alongside a purported look at the full world map.
- Vehicles & Combat: Footage of protagonist Jason Duval flying a plane over Vice City, driving high-end hypercars, committing armed robberies, and using a taser on security guards.
- New Gameplay Mechanics: A clip displaying a healing drug called "Zombix," which features an in-game tooltip warning that its effects weaken if overused.
- The Leaker’s Signature: In one aviation video, the player uses bullets to shoot the word "LEEK" into a wall, suggesting the hacker has hands-on access to a playable development build.
The Crypto Connection and AI Fakes
This leak is uniquely organized. Cyberleek is currently running active polls on their website, allowing users to pay in cryptocurrency to vote on which gameplay elements or videos should be leaked next.
However, players should remain incredibly cautious. Because of the massive hype surrounding GTA 6, social media is currently flooded with highly convincing AI-generated video fakes designed to look like authentic Cyberleek drops.
