Despite fan hopes for a quick turnaround after Season 2 wrapped up in January 2026, a major production update reveals that Season 3 is much further away than viewers anticipated.
The New Production Timeline
The reality check comes courtesy of series star James Jordan. In an interview with Us Weekly—which went viral after flying under the radar—Jordan shed light on when the cameras will actually start rolling for the next installment.
"We start that sometime in September and we’ll shoot that through the first quarter of next year," Jordan revealed, referring to the late 2026 to early 2027 filming window.
Jordan also shared some good news for fans of the show's creative direction, noting that director Stephen Kay is expected to return. "I believe we’re bringing back the same director, Stephen Kay, who I adore. So it’s going to be a great ride," Jordan said.
Because filming is scheduled to stretch into the first quarter of 2027, a 2026 release date is officially out of the question.

With production continuing into early 2027, post-production, editing, and marketing will push the release date deep into next year.
