The excitement at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event reached a fever pitch when the stars of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday took the stage. Fans were treated to an exclusive first look at the upcoming blockbuster, which promises an unprecedented collision course between Doctor Doom—played by the returning Robert Downey Jr.—and an entire multiverse of heroes.

The Return of MCU Royalty

Adding fuel to the already blazing hype train, Downey was joined by MCU veterans Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell. The actors delighted the crowd by addressing their characters' bittersweet fates in Avengers: Endgame and teasing how Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter factor back into the grand tapestry of the MCU.

"Now, we know that there’s nothing this crowd loves more than a happy ever after," Atwell told the roaring D23 audience.

Evans chimed in with a cheeky grin, "And Steve Rogers was so close to getting his at the end of Avengers: Endgame. We should’ve known better."

Unexpected Cameos and Comic Relief

True to Marvel fashion, the presentation didn't stop with the core panel. Hugh Jackman and an off-screen Ryan Reynolds crashed the event via a surprise video message. The iconic Wolverine actor playfully begged the Russo brothers for a spot in the already massive ensemble.

"I just wanted to check in totally unprompted," Jackman said, with Reynolds chiming in from the background. "Just wondering if you might need some help rounding out the cast? I’d love to join. And I don’t know, I might be able to convince Ryan to appear in Avengers: Doomsday."

A Massive, Multiversal Scale

Directed by visionary filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday follows beloved heroes pulled from three distinct universes. They are set on a deadly collision course against an existential threat unlike anything they have ever encountered before.

The star-studded roster reads like a Hollywood who's who. Alongside Downey, Evans, and Atwell, the film features Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena, and Tenoch Huerta Mejia.

Alongside the exclusive footage, Marvel Studios dropped a striking new poster that has fans dissecting every hidden detail online.

As the countdown to the premiere ticks away, anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday is officially hitting fever pitch. Tickets are available now on Fandango and major ticketing platforms—securing your spot for the cinematic event of the year is practically mandatory for any pop culture fan.
